Alexandra Picks is an independent review site. We cover online courses, digital tools, and home & DIY products — the kinds of things people research carefully before buying — and we write about them the way we'd explain them to a friend who asked.

Why this site exists

Most "review" pages you land on after a search are really just sales pages in disguise: all upside, no drawbacks, and a buy button. We started Alexandra Picks because that's frustrating and, honestly, not very useful. A review is only worth reading if it's willing to tell you when something isn't the right fit. So every review here includes the real cons, who should skip the product, and what you'll actually pay.

Who's behind it

The site is run by Alex along with a small group of contributors who research and write the reviews. We're language learners, software users, and hobbyists ourselves, and we cover things we can speak to honestly. When we haven't used something thoroughly enough to have a real opinion, we don't publish a review of it.

How we stay independent

Alexandra Picks is reader-supported. Some of our links are affiliate links, which means if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That's how we keep the site running. But it doesn't change what we write: we score products on their merits, we include the downsides, and a commission never buys a better review or a higher ranking.
